Abstract

The dual role demands faced by nurses in their professional and family lives may lead to work–family conflict, which can affect well-being and potentially increase turnover intention. This study aims to analyze the relationship between work-family conflict and turnover intention among nurses at South Tangerang General Hospital. The study used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used was total sampling involving 84 respondents. The results of data analysis using the Chi Square test showed a significant relationship between work-family conflict and turnover intention as indicated by a p-value of 0.008. This research is expected to provide information and evaluation material for hospitals to strengthen work-family balance policies for nurses through adequate schedule adjustments, workload distribution, and social support. In addition, self- development programs (time management, stress management, and communication) need to be implemented to improve nurse well-being and reduce the potential for role conflict that contributes to turnover intention.
