Abstract
Final project defense is an essential stage that must be undertaken by final-year students and involves multiple stakeholders, including students, supervisors, examiners, and academic administrative staff. Based on observations conducted at the Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta, the defense scheduling process is still carried out conventionally and has not been fully integrated, resulting in inefficiencies in schedule management and a potential for time conflicts. This study aims to design a web-based final project defense scheduling information system in the form of user interface and user experience design and a Prototype. The development method employed in this study is the Prototype method, which facilitates the visualization of system requirements and workflows in an iterative manner. The evaluation of the proposed design was conducted using Usability Testing based on usage scenarios, aiming to assess ease of use, clarity of workflow, and the suitability of the functions designed in the Prototype. The evaluation results indicate that the proposed system Prototype is able to represent the final project defense scheduling process in a more structured and user-friendly manner. This design is expected to serve as a foundation for the future development of a more efficient and integrated final project defense scheduling information system within the Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta.
