Abstract

Objective Healthy living and education, as global targets of the SDGs, emphasize the importance of children’s intelligence, which is influenced by nutritional status, balanced dietary patterns, and physical activity. The low academic achievement observed in Bojongsari District is associated with children’s health and dietary conditions. Method This study aims to determine the relationship between nutritional status, balanced dietary patterns, and physical activity with the intelligence levels of male students at SDN 04 Bojongsari Depok. This research used a cross-sectional design with a total sample of 42 male students in grades 4-6 selected through stratified random sampling based on inclusion criteria. Data were collected by measuring weight and height, and administering the PAQ-C and SQ-FFQ questionnaires. Data analysis employed univariate, bivariate Chi-square tests, and multivariate logistic regression with PR and 95% CI to assess risk. Result The results showed that nutritional status (p = 0.085; PR = 3.036; 95% CI = 0.844-10.921), balanced diet (p = 0.305; PR = 2.182; 95% CI = 0.540-8.816), and physical activity (p = 0.593; PR = 0.593; 95% CI = 0.171-2.056) were not significantly associated with intelligence level, although risk tendencies were observed without statistical significance. Conclusion Parents and schools are advised to promote balanced nutrition intake and regular physical activity supervision, including dietary monitoring, screen time regulation, and routine nutritional assessments to support cognitive development.
