Abstract
Recently, public complaints against doctors have become increasingly common. Therefore, it is important to examine these issues related to the doctor-patient relationship to prevent conflict that is detrimental to both parties. The knowledge possessed by preclinical and clinical students is closely related to their educational level; it is estimated that the higher a person's education level, the higher their level of knowledge. Given the differences in educational levels, it is necessary to examine whether there are differences in knowledge about patient rights and obligations between preclinical and clinical students at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional "Veteran" Jakarta. The type of research that will be used is analytical observational and cross-sectional design. The sample used is 136 preclinical and clinical students, and the sample was selected using a simple random sampling method. This study used the Chi-Square test which showed no significant difference in the level of knowledge between preclinical and clinical students of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta regarding patient rights and obligations (p = 0.511). The level of knowledge of preclinical and clinical students was included in the good score. It can be concluded that the level of knowledge of preclinical and clinical students was included in the good score and there was no significant difference in the level of knowledge between preclinical and clinical students of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta regarding patient rights and obligations.
