Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of transformational leadership and employee engagement on turnover intention with job satisfaction as a mediating variable among employees of PT Altama Surya Anugerah. High turnover intention in the distirbution sector, which is synonymous with fast-paced workloads and high targets, highlights the importance of corporate strategies in retaining employees through improved leadership, engagement, and job satisfaction. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method of 86 employees at PT Altama Surya Anugerah. The analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on SmartPLS 4.0 to test the direct and indirect relationships between variables. The results showed that transformational leadership and employee engagement influenced turnover intention, with job satisfaction acting as a mediating variable that strengthened the relationship. These findings confirm that inspirational leadership, high employee engagement, and good job satisfaction can reduce employees' intention to leave the company. The practical implications of this study encourage companies to strengthen leadership practices, increase employee engagement, and ensure that job satisfaction factors such as compensation and work environment are properly addressed.
