Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of Islamic financial literacy, religiosity, and digital banking services on the decision of Jakarta’s community to use the Wadiah Savings product offered by Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), considering that public preference for non-profit deposit products based on the Wadiah contract remains lower than for conventional savings. Employing a quantitative approach with a causal associative design, the research involved 100 respondents selected through random sampling, using a five-point Likert questionnaire and data analysis conducted through Partial Least Square–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using SmartPLS. The findings demonstrate that all independent variables Islamic financial literacy, religiosity, and digital banking services positively and significantly affect the decision to use Wadiah Savings, where a strong understanding of Islamic financial principles increases individuals’ tendency to choose products aligned with Sharia guidelines; religiosity reinforces the motivation to avoid financial practices associated with riba; and high-quality digital services through BSI Mobile play a crucial role for urban users who prioritize fast, secure, and accessible transactions.
