Abstract

The development of digital technology has driven significant changes in restaurant service systems, including the menu ordering process. Sacaluna Coffee still uses a manual ordering method at the cashier, which causes long queues and reduces service efficiency, especially during busy periods. This study aims to design and build a QR Code-based digital menu ordering system to overcome these problems and improve operational efficiency. The development method used is Rapid Application Development (RAD), with a PIECES analysis approach to identify system requirements. The technologies used include React.js for the user interface, Node.js and Express.js on the backend, and MySQL as the database. System testing was conducted using the black box method. The test results showed that all system features, from menu ordering to digital payment, functioned properly. In addition, customer trials proved that ordering via QR Code was faster than manual ordering. Thus, this system is capable of improving service quality and operational efficiency at Sacaluna Coffee.
