Abstract
The aim of this research is to analyze the role of the Indonesian Consumers Foundation in protecting consumers and legal protection efforts related to e-commerce advertising fraud. This research uses an empirical legal research method, by analyzing relevant laws and looking at the law in a real sense to examine how the law works in the environment of the Indonesian Consumers Foundation, Jakarta. The research results revealed that YLKI plays an important role in conveying interests by providing education, advocacy, and facilitating consumers who are targets of e-commerce advertising fraud. YLKI is also actively promoting the creation of regulations that benefit consumers and building cooperation with various parties, including the government and business actors, to strengthen the consumer protection system in e-commerce. However, challenges such as low literacy levels among the community and limited authority to contribute to fighting for consumer rights are obstacles to YLKI's success. This study suggests that strengthening the position of YLKI should be encouraged through collaboration with the government and increasing community involvement.
