Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of mental and physical workload on the performance of TransJakarta drivers on Corridor 13. As a primary mode of transportation in Jakarta, TransJakarta plays a crucial role in reducing traffic congestion but also faces safety challenges, often caused by driver fatigue. High workloads, both mental and physical, can lead to decreased driver performance, increasing the risk of accidents. This research employs three methods to measure workload and performance: the NASA Task Load Index (NASA-TLX) to assess mental workload, Cardiovascular Load (CVL) to measure physical workload, and Psychomotor Vigilance Task (PVT) to evaluate reaction time as a performance indicator. The findings reveal that high mental and physical workload correlates with reduced driver performance, particularly during peak hours and night shifts, which contribute to higher fatigue levels. Based on these findings, it is recommended that improvements be made in managing driver workloads to enhance the safety and operational efficiency of TransJakarta.
