Abstract

Amid the growing use of social media among generation z, mental health issues such as anxiety disorders have become a significant concern. Although social media is often associated with negative impacts, it is also utilized as a space for emotional support, one example being persuasive content from the Instagram account @nkcthi, known for its reflective quotes and touching visuals. This study aims to describe the level of persuasive content on Instagram @nkcthi and user satisfaction, as well as to measure the extent of its influence on the satisfaction of gen z youths with anxiety disorders. The theoretical framework employed is the Uses and Gratifications 2.0 Theory. This research uses a quantitative explanatory method with primary data collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 respondents gen z followers of the @nkcthi account using purposive sampling. The results show a positive and significant influence of persuasive content from @nkcthi on the satisfaction of Gen Z adolescents with anxiety disorders, with an effect size of 59.5%. The finding also show that both forms of content, photo and caption, provide satisfaction for users.
