Abstract
The construction machinery and heavy equipment industry in Indonesia plays a strategic role in supporting national infrastructure and mining development. However, global challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic, geopolitical conflicts, and supply chain disruptions have exerted significant pressure on the operational stability and performance of companies in this sub-sector. This study aims to evaluate the performance of several publicly listed companies using the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) framework, with indicator weighting derived through the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), and result interpretation conducted using the Objective Matrix Traffic Light System (OMAX-TLS). The evaluation includes four companies, with one serving as a benchmark. The findings indicate that the financial and internal business process perspectives contribute the most to overall performance, while the learning and growth perspective provides the least contribution. The Current Performance Indicator (CPI) values for the 2021–2023 period are: HEXA at 15,26, KOBX at 7,51, SKRN at 4,74, and UNTR at 21.79. These results reflect a significant performance gap across companies. UNTR demonstrates the most optimal and balanced performance across all perspectives, whereas SKRN records the lowest score, highlighting the need for comprehensive strategic improvement. The results provide a basis for formulating sustainable performance enhancement strategies rooted in measurable indicators.
