Abstract
The problem of difficulty in finding a job can be caused by a lack of career preparation education for the younger generation. This is because information about careers or information about job vacancies is not well conveyed. The existence of social media makes it easier for individuals to obtain or share information. The existence of social media like Instagram is utilized by @girlsbeyond.id to share content about careers for the younger generation. This research is intended to determine if there is an influence and how much influence is generated from educational content about careers (X) on the satisfaction of Instagram followers @girlsbeyond.id (Y) by applying explanatory quantitative method. The sampling technique applied is purposive sampling and the population is Instagram followers @girlsbeyond.id whose sample amounted to 100 based on the calculation of the Slovin formula. The uses and gratification theory is applied in this study, which assumes that individuals are considered active in selecting media that can provide satisfaction for the fulfillment of their needs. The hypothesis test shows the t value of 8.218>t table 1.984, indicating that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so it means that there is an influence of educational content about careers on Instagram social media @girlsbeyond.id on follower satisfaction. The coefficient of determination test shows the influence of educational content about careers on Instagram social media @girlsbeyond.id on follower satisfaction by 40.8% and the remaining 59.2% can be influenced by external factors
