Abstract

Type 2 diabetes mellitus generally occurs in adults. Where the body does not produce enough insulin or becomes resistant to insulin. (WHO, 2024). Instability of blood glucose levels can occur due to insulin resistance which interferes with the energy metabolism process in the blood vessels. This condition is one of the symptoms of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. This study is a type of case study research design of medical surgical nursing care to see how nurses handle patient Mrs. B who experiences problems with blood glucose instability at PASAR REBO Regional Hospital, East Jakarta. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observation and documentation. The nursing problems found in this case were blood glucose instability, sleep pattern disorders and non-compliance. It is hoped that with comprehensive handling through appropriate nursing interventions, including education about diet, physical activity and medication adherence.
