Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has significantly driven the growth of financial technology (fintech), one of which is the e-wallet, serving as a practical and efficient tool for cashless transactions. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the continuous use of e-wallets among students at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta, by integrating the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). Data collection was conducted through the distribution of questionnaires to 386 respondents, and the data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method with the assistance of SmartPLS 4 software. The results show that perceived behavioral control is the most dominant factor influencing the continuous use of e-wallets, with a path coefficient value of 0.279 and a significance level of p = 0.000. Furthermore, the structural model evaluation yielded an R-square (R²) value of 0.800, indicating that the six independent variables in the model explain 80% of the variance in continuous e-wallet usage. Based on these findings, the study recommends that e-wallet service providers focus on enhancing aspects that strengthen users’ behavioral control, such as reliable security systems, ease of access, and responsive customer support services.
