Abstract

Numani Kitchen & Coffee faces various operational challenges, especially during peak hours. Waiters often struggle to locate orders at each table, causing service delays. The payment process is also slow because bills must be found manually, leading to long queues. Additionally, order recording errors and dynamic menu changes make menu reprinting inefficient, increasing costs and causing waste. With the ongoing construction of the second floor, waiters must go up and down the stairs, further reducing operational efficiency. This study aims to design and implement a web-based ordering system to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. The system simplifies ordering and payment for customers while assisting administrators in processing transactions more quickly and accurately. The research adopts the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology, which includes planning, design, construction, and implementation. Data is collected through observation, interviews, and literature studies, with system requirement analysis using the PIECES method. The system is developed using Laravel as the web framework and MySQL for data management. Key features include QR Code scanning for digital menu access, self-service ordering, and cashless or cash payments. Additionally, the system provides an admin web panel that includes a dashboard, menu management, category management, transaction management, sales reporting, and admin and employee account management. Evaluation using the System Usability Scale (SUS) shows improved transaction efficiency, reduced recording errors, and enhanced customer experience. With this system, Numani Kitchen & Coffee can optimize operations and improve service quality.
