Abstract
Background : Hypotension or low blood pressure is a medical condition characterized by blood pressure below 90/60 mmHg, which can lead to symptoms such as dizziness, weakness, nausea, and fainting. Various factors can trigger hypotension, including dehydration, heart disorders, severe infections, and side effects of medications. Although hypertension is more frequently discussed, cases of hypotension are also significant, especially in Indonesia, where its prevalence can be influenced by dietary patterns, mental health, and access to healthcare services. In West Java, the incidence of intradialytic hypotension presents serious health challenges, with a prevalence at RSUD Khidmat Sehat Afiat ranging from 5% to 20%. Symptoms of hypotension that are not properly managed can lead to fatal complications, such as hypovolemic shock and organ damage. Therefore, the role of nurses in providing comprehensive nursing care is crucial, encompassing preventive, curative, promotive, and rehabilitative aspects. Through this approach, nurses can assist patients in managing hypotension, preventing complications, and improving their quality of life. Method : The research used in this study is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection was conducted through interviews, observations, physical examinations, and supporting data. Results : The primary nursing diagnosis for Mr. C is acute pain related to physical injury, characterized by complaints of pain in the right knee radiating down to the right leg. The nursing intervention implemented involved providing deep breathing relaxation exercises to the client. Nursing implementation was carried out according to the established nursing interventions, followed by nursing evaluation. Over a period of 3x24 hours, the acute pain issue for Mr. C was fully resolved. Conclusion : The nursing care provided, such as deep breathing relaxation exercises and distraction relaxation for Mr. C, was successfully resolved.
