Abstract

Introduction: Hypertension is one of the chronic diseases whose prevalence continues to increase in the world, including in Indonesia, and is a major risk factor for cardiovascular complications. Management of hypertensive emergencies requires rapid and precise intervention to prevent target organ damage. Objective: This study is to implement and evaluate nursing care for hypertensive emergency patients in the inpatient room of RSPPN Panglima Besar Soedirman. Method: used is a case study with a qualitative descriptive approach, including nursing assessment, data analysis, diagnosis determination, planning, implementation, and nursing evaluation. The main interventions given are vital sign monitoring, pain management, health education, and the application of deep breathing relaxation techniques as a non-pharmacological effort to lower blood pressure and reduce tension. Results: care showed an improvement in the patient's clinical condition, marked by a decrease in pain levels, stabilization of blood pressure, and increased patient comfort. Conclusion: from this case study is that systematic nursing care and the use of deep breathing relaxation techniques can help control blood pressure and accelerate the recovery of hypertensive emergency patients. The active role of nurses in education and providing appropriate interventions is the key to success in managing hypertension
