Abstract
Background: Cesarean section is often chosen as a life-saving measure in pregnancies with complications, one of which is severe preeclampsia. This condition can lead to serious complications and even maternal death. Preeclampsia is the second leading cause of maternal mortality in Indonesia, thus requiring appropriate nursing care, especially for mothers post-cesarean section. Objective: This study aims to provide nursing care for Mrs. F post-cesarean section due to severe preeclampsia at Pasar Rebo General Hospital. Method: This study used a simple descriptive design with a case study approach and qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Results: After three days of nursing care for Mrs. F (P3A0), five nursing diagnoses were identified: ineffective peripheral perfusion, acute pain, impaired physical mobility, impaired tissue integrity, and ineffective breastfeeding. Nursing interventions were carried out based on SLKI and SIKI, and the evaluation showed improvements in the patient’s condition for each nursing diagnosis. Conclusion: The nursing care provided to Mrs. F (P3A0) post-cesarean section due to severe preeclampsia showed clinical improvement following appropriate interventions based on the identified nursing diagnoses. A systematic nursing process approach proved effective in supporting the patient’s recovery.
