Abstract

At the beginning of 2020, the entire country was faced with a global threat, namely the Covid-19 pandemic. Various ways and strategies are carried out by each country to stop the outbreak, including Indonesia. With the Covid-19 outbreak, Indonesia has become one of the countries that is active in cooperating with countries and international organizations. This is evidenced by the existence of the South-South Cooperation program between Indonesia and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) which is associated with the theory of international cooperation and food security. The researcher uses this theory because of the compatibility of the cooperation between Indonesia and FAO which aims to provide solutions to Indonesia's food security during the Covid-19 pandemic. The existence of this cooperation program is also expected to have a positive impact on Indonesia's agricultural sector, which has experienced a decline in the food security index in 2020-2021. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method associated with the theoretical concept of international cooperation and food security from the existence of the Indonesia and FAO cooperation program on food security during the covid-19 pandemic in 2020-2021. This study shows that, through the cooperation strategy, KSST has an impact on the resilience of Indonesia's food index, which has increased significantly from the assistance of technological tools, knowledge, and technical experts.
