Abstract

Social media has become a primary platform for society to access various types of information, including career-related information. One Instagram account that specifically provides career-related content is @karirspot. This study aims to analyze how the content presented by Instagram @karirspot influences the career information satisfaction of its followers. This research refers to the Uses and Gratification theory, which highlights the role of audiences as active users who utilize social media to obtain relevant and beneficial information. The study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method involving 100 respondents as the sample. Data collected were analyzed through statistical tests, including validity, reliability, correlation, regression, coefficient of determination, and hypothesis testing, using SPSS software version 25. The results indicate that the content presented by @karirspot significantly influences the career information satisfaction of its followers, with a coefficient of determination value of 50.1%. This finding shows that the content provided by Instagram @karirspot contributes 50.1% to career information satisfaction, while the remaining 49.9% is influenced by other factors beyond the scope of this study. These findings emphasize the importance of quality social media content in enhancing information satisfaction experienced by users.
