Abstract

This research was conducted to examine the online media portals Okezone.com and Sindonews.com in framing news about environmental issues in achieving sustainable development goals in Indonesia, specifically the issues of climate change and air pollution. This study uses a qualitative method with the framing analysis method of Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki to analyze the content of the news. The results show that Okezone.com and Sindonews.com have similarities and differences in packaging environmental articles, especially on the issues of climate change and air pollution. The similarity is that both portals usually discuss or take framing from the impact of climate change or air pollution. Meanwhile, the difference can be seen in the way Okezone.com and Sindonews.com take perspectives from the statements of the special staff of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Diaz Hendropriyono.
