Abstract

Background: Anemia in adolescent girls is a serious problem that must be addressed so that it does not become a prolonged impact. Young women who experience anemia when they become mothers can later give birth to stunted children. But in fact, many teenagers still lack knowledge about anemia. Educational efforts are needed to increase their understanding in preventing anemia as a step to reduce stunting. Through anemia education, adolescent girls can understand that their current health can affect their children's health in the future. Objective: To determine the effect of anemia education on adolescent girls' knowledge of stunting prevention at SMP Negeri 131 Jakarta. Methods: Using quasy-experimental with One Group Pre Test and Post Test Design research design. Using total sampling technique in class 8 with a sample size of 102 people. This study used the Wilcoxon test. Results: This study shows the pretest and post test variables p-value 0.000 (<0.05). Conclusion: There is an effect of anemia education in adolescent girls on stunting prevention knowledge at SMP Negeri 131 Jakarta. Suggestion: This study is expected to encourage further research to analyze factors that influence stunting knowledge at all ages of adolescents in preventing stunting.
