Abstract
Personal hygiene behavior of food vendors plays a crucial role in preventing food contamination that can lead to diseases. The Depok City government has implemented online training activities for food handlers in 2022-2023. However, it has not resulted in a significant impact, as the increase in the percentage of food and beverage establishments (TPP) meeting health standards was only 1.5%. This study aims to identify the factors influencing personal hygiene behavior among food vendors in Limo District, Depok, in 2024. The research design is a cross-sectional study using primary data collected through questionnaires and employing accidental sampling techniques. Data analysis was performed using univariate, bivariate analysis with the chi-square method and Cox regression, and multivariate analysis with Cox regression. The sample size consisted of 110 respondents. Attitude and knowledge were found to have a significant relationship with personal hygiene behavior. Attitude towards personal hygiene behavior emerged as the dominant factor influencing personal hygiene behavior among food vendors. Based on the findings, it is recommended that the government organize training programs or workshops on food safety for food vendors and regularly monitor food hygiene and sanitation among vendors in the Depok area.
