Abstract
Flowsheet documentation is a crucial component of patient care in the Intensive Care Unit, serving to record patient progress continuously over 24 hours. Nurse compliance in documenting flowsheets is influenced by factors such as stress and mental workload. This study aims to analyze the relationship between nurse stress and mental workload with compliance in flowsheet documentation in the Intensive Care Unit. A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design was used, conducted from October to December 2024. The sample consisted of 44 nurses from the ICU and ICCU, selected using total sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and direct observation, and analyzed using Spearman's rank correlation test. The results showed a significant relationship between nurse job stress and flowsheet flowsheet documentation compliance (p=0.032; r=0.324), indicating a low positive correlation. No significant relationship was found between mental workload and flowsheet documentation compliance (p=0.681; r=-0.064). The study recommends that hospital management focus on stress management for nurses and provide training to improve documentation compliance.
