Abstract

The use of websites in today’s digital age is essential for accessing information. One of the institutions utilizing a website for this purpose is Universitas Mitra Bangsa. Universitas Mitra Bangsa, formerly known as STIMA IMMI Jakarta, is a higher education institution that maintains a website to inform the general public and attract prospective students. In the digital age, universities need to ensure that their websites deliver an optimal user experience and provide easy access to information. This study aims to evaluate the user experience of Universitas Mitra Bangsa website using the Post Study System Usability Questionnaire (PSSUQ) and to redesign the user interface using the Double Diamond method The results from the PSSUQ evaluation indicate that the overall average score is below average, at 5.12, with a total of 112 issues identified through a Heuristic Evaluation conducted by three evaluators. The Double Diamond stages, which include Discover, Define, Develop, and Deliver, are employed to improve the website design. The redesign’s results through usability testing showed a significant improvement, with an average Single Ease Question (SEQ) score of 6.4 and an overall Post Study System Usability Questionnaire (PSSUQ) score of 1.98. This indicates that the research successfully enhanced the usability of Universitas Mitra Bangsa website.
