Abstract
Presenteeism is a behavior where someone forces themselves to work while being sick. Presenteeism among nurses can worsen physical and mental health, increase medication errors, reduce patient safety, and increase economic losses for hospitals. This study aims to analyze the most dominant factors related to the level of presenteeism among nurses at RSUD Pasar Rebo in 2024. The research was conducted using a cross-sectional study design and data were obtained directly through questionnaire completion (primary data). The research was conducted in November – December 2024 with a sample size of 143 nurses at RSUD Pasar Rebo. Data analysis used the Chi-Square test and Multiple Logistic Regression. The results of the bivariate analysis show that organizational support (P = 0.038; POR = 0.236; 95% CI: 0.1 – 0.6) is associated with the level of presenteeism. The results of the multivariate analysis found that length of work (P = 0.010; POR = 7.608; 95% CI: 1.619 – 36.755) is the dominant factor affecting the level of presenteeism. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant relationship between organizational support and length of work, which are the dominant factors contributing to the occurrence of presenteeism. The recommendation that can be given is that hospital management can hold weekly routine meetings with nurses to discuss health issues experienced and conduct health promotion programs in the form of seminars on the negative impacts of presenteeism.
