Abstract
Safety driving is critical in maintaining order and safety on the roads, especially in logistics sector, which involves high mobility. In 2024, there were 139,258 traffic accidents in Indonesia, including three incidents at PT X. This study analyzes the factors associated with safety driving behavior among logistics truck drivers at PT X in 2024. The study utilized a cross-sectional design with a quantitative analytical approach, with a sample of all 60 drivers at PT X. The multivariate analysis revealed two variables significantly associated: work duration (p=0.008) and coworker role (p=0.037), while five variables acted as confounding factors, including age (p=0.107), attitude (p=0.198), sweet beverage consumption (p=0.473), fruit and vegetable consumption (p=0.057), and driving training (p=0.212). Work duration was identified as the most significantly associated factor, with a Prevalence Odds Ratio of 6.557 (95% CI=1.631–26.362), whereas coworker role was identified as a protective factor with a Prevalence Odds Ratio of 0.421 (95% CI=0.204–0.867). It is concluded that two variables are associated with safety driving behavior, with work duration being the most dominant factor. This study recommends strict regulation of driver work duration, increased consumption of healthy eating patterns, enhanced communication and collaboration with coworkers, and routine driving safety training.
