Abstract
Old age is the final stage of human life, approaching death, where the aging process often triggers changes that can increase anxiety about death. Excessive death anxiety can disrupt the daily activities of the elderly. Spiritual well-being and life satisfaction play an important role in maintaining mental and emotional balance, helping to reduce this anxiety. This study aimed to examine the relationship between spiritual well-being and life satisfaction with death anxiety of the elderly at Tresna Werdha Budi Mulia Social Home, Jakarta. Conducted on November 18-27, 2024, the study used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach, selecting 107 elderly respondents through purposive sampling. The instruments used were the Spiritual Well-Being Scale (SWBS), Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS), and Death Anxiety Scale (DAS), analyzed through the Spearman correlation test. The results showed a significant negative relationship between spiritual well-being, life satisfaction, and anxiety about death, with a p-value of 0.000. Correlation coefficients of -0.548 and -0.846 indicate that higher spiritual well-being and life satisfaction are associated with lower death anxiety. Thus, the elderly are encouraged to engage in regular activities provided by the shelter, such as religious studies, worship services, and talent-based programs, to enhance their well-being
