Abstract
Healthcare workers' willingness to work in disaster conditions and the preparedness of hospitals are key to successful response and reduction of casualties. Low willingness to work can lead to delays in medical assistance. Perceptions of hospital infrastructure play a role in the willingness to act. This study aims to identify the relationship between healthcare workers' perceptions of preparedness and hospital resilience levels with their willingness to work in disaster conditions. This cross-sectional quantitative study involved 369 respondents, using quota sampling for nurses and convenience sampling for other healthcare professions. Analysis using the Chi-Square test and Kruskall Wallis showed a significant relationship (p<0.05) between perceptions of preparedness and hospital resilience with healthcare workers' willingness to work in disaster conditions, as well as factors such as gender, education, childcare, profession, disaster experience, age, and length of service also showed a significant influence. This study is expected to serve as a basis for hospital policies to provide opportunities to improve continuing education programs and disaster assignment experience to increase willingness to work in disaster conditions. Other expectations are that it can be a reference for further research on the willingness to work with a wider sample and variables.
