Abstract

Adolescents as prospective parents have an important role to prevent stunting in future generations. In reality, adolescents still lack sufficient knowledge about stunting and its prevention. This is an important concern so that adolescents can have knowledge about stunting and its prevention, before negative impacts occur in the future. Providing health education in schools can help adolescents have additional knowledge about their health, especially stunting. To find out whether there is an effect of health education on the level of adolescent knowledge about stunting prevention at SMK Mulia Karya Husada. The method used is quasi-experimental with a One Group Pre-Test and Post-Test Without Control Group Design. Using the Cluster Random Sampling technique on the population of SMK Mulia Karya Husada students with a sample size of 53 people. This study uses the Wilcoxon test. This study shows that there is an effect between health education on the level of adolescent knowledge about stunting prevention, with a p value = 0.000 (<0.05). There is an effect of health education on the level of adolescent knowledge about stunting prevention at SMK Mulia Karya Husada. This research is expected to be a reference for further researchers in analyzing the comparative effectiveness between other health education media in an effort to increase knowledge regarding stunting prevention..
