Abstract
THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE OUTCOME-BASED EDUCATION CURRICULUM AND SLEEP QUALITY WITH THE ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OF MEDICAL STUDENTS UPN VETERAN JAKARTA IN 2024 Nisrina Sa’diyah Abstract The OBE curriculum is a learning model designed to improve student achievement through the development of learning principles. The implementation of the OBE curriculum requires an adaptation process of students who experience curriculum changes from high school. The adaptation process of new students can cause individual health problems. Individual health is one of the most common factors that affect students' academic performance and sleep quality. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the implementation of the OBE curriculum and sleep quality with the academic performance of UPNVJ medical students class of 2023. The sampling method used was a random sampling with a total sample of 154 students of FK UPNVJ medical study program class of 2023. The data were collected using a questionnaire filled out by respondents. This study used an analytical observational method with a cross-sectional design. correlation test in this study using the Spearman correlation test. The statistical test results showed that there was no relationship between the implementation of the OBE curriculum which is divided into 6 dimensions with student academic achievement (p> 0.05). There is a significant relationship between sleep quality and student academic performance (p=0.01) with a correlation coefficient of -0.206, which shows that the relationship between the two variables is weak and contradictory. This study revealed that the worse the quality of an individual’s sleep, the better their academic performance and vice versa.
