Abstract

The issue addressed in this study is how Canada's economic diplomacy resolved disputes with the United States regarding dairy products after joining the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement during the 2020–2023 period. This study aims to analyze the forms of economic diplomacy employed by Canada in handling these disputes. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques based on document-based research. The analysis was conducted through data reduction, presentation, and verification stages. The theoretical framework employed includes three key concepts: regionalism, international trade disputes, and economic diplomacy. The result reveal that Canada addressed the dispute through tariff quota adjustments, diplomatic dialogue, and dispute resolution mechanisms within the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement framework. These measures not only protected the local dairy industry but also maintained the economic integration of North America.
