Abstract

This research examined the relationship between price to book value and fundamental factors (return to equity, dividend payout ratio, growth, degree of financial leverage). And also research examined the relationship between price to book value and stock return. This research is based on samples of manufactured firms listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2008 to 2011. Criteria used in the selection of the sample are the company’s gives dividends to investors during the period of this research, had the book value equity positive, and return on equity positive. The proposed hypotheses were tested by using multiple regression analysis, single regression analysis, with enter method and t test. This studies lead to the concluded that return on equity, dividend payout ratio no effect on price to book value. While of the degree of financial leverage and growth rates affect on price to book value. In a simple regression test results indicate that the price to book value has no effect on stock return.
