Abstract
The blended learning approach, integrating both online and face-to-face components, is relatively novel in education, sparking debates regarding its efficacy. While a many study noted setbacks for 60 million students during blended learning implementation, research by Lusa et al. suggested its potential to enhance outcomes and promote self-regulation. These divergent views necessitate further scrutiny. This study aims to clarify blended learning's effectiveness, especially in skills lab activities, on student motivation at FK UPN "Veteran" Jakarta. Employing observational analysis with a cross-sectional approach, 90 participants were sampled using simple random sampling, adjusted by Slovin's formula by 10%. Data were collected through validated questionnaires: the Hybrid Learning Effectiveness Questionnaire (Cronbach’s Alpha: 0.864) and the Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ) (Cronbach’s Alpha: 0.89). Findings revealed a p-value of 0.056, indicating insignificant correlation between blended learning in skills lab and student motivation. This is attributed to students' intrinsic motivation, unaffected by teaching methods.
