Abstract

Human resources determine a corporation's success or failure. Human resources, as one of the company's responsibilities, must produce good results. Leadership and employee motivation may both help to increase performance. The goal of this study is to investigate the influence of transformational leadership and the work environment on management staff performance at RSU Kota South Tangerang, with work motivation serving as an intervening variable. This study incorporates quantitative research methods. This study used a complete sample technique and included 63 South Tangerang City RSU workers. The instrument used was a questionnaire. The collected data was then analysed using SmartPLS software version 4. The study's results demonstrate that the P-value is 0.182, indicating that transformational leadership has no influence on employee performance. P-value 0.652 indicates that the work environment has no influence on employee performance. P-value = 0.155, indicating that transformational leadership has no influence on employee performance via work motivation. P-value = 0.000, indicating that the work environment impacts employee performance via work motivation. And the P-value is 0.002, indicating that job motivation impacts employee performance. Future research are expected to update and expand the variables and reveal other factors that promote greater performance than job motivation.
