Abstract
Background: Lumbar HNP occurs due to anatomical changes in the intervertebral disc. This condition occurs when the nucleus pulposus is exposed to pressure between the vertebrae, either laterally or posteriorly so that the nucleus pulposus ruptures and disintegrats. This causes the nucleus pulposus to protrude into the spinal canal and press on the verve roots. The purpose of this study was to determine the physiotherapy management of lumbar HNP. Design: The research design carried out in this scientific paper is to use the case study method. Case study is one of the descriptive analysis research that focuses only one particular case to be analyzed or observed thoroughly. The data collection method used contains patien data which includes: patien identity, anamnesis results, physiotherapy examination, intervention and evaluation. Result: The result of the research obtained after physiotherapy was carried out 3 times a meeting in 2 weeks with the provision of Ultrasound, MWD, and Core Stability Exercise intervention showed tha there were changes in pain intensity. Conclusion: In this case study, it is known that the provision of physiotherapy intervention for 3 times therapy has a positive effect for patients whit grade 3 lumbar HNP.
