Abstract
This study been researched to analyze how Golkar as a national political party In Indonesia applies the meaning of affirmative action to increasing the number of women’s representatives. The research was studied using background checking methods and conducted interviews with related sources and aligned with official publication data and news through literature studies. As a party that has existed since the old days, the Golkar Party's adaptation to the gender quota policy only produced 19 women out of the 216 Golkar party female cadres nominated, elected to the RI parliament in the 2019 legislative elections. After a background check, the researchers found that some of the women elected had strong relationships with the party elite as well as political actors. The Golkar Party faction has a close background with the party elite and the head of the district. Political parties are facing obstacles in the recruitment process of female cadres caused by a number of factors. However, this cannot be an excuse for a political party to take a "shortcut" in meeting electoral requirements. The Golkar Party as a party that marks its identity as the party that deserves the system, turns out to be still overshadowed by dynasties and affinities.
