Abstract

The documentary film "BREAKING THE SILENCE: Mental Health Behind Employees' Smiles" delves into the phenomenon of mental illness among workers, often overlooked by management and company owners. The director focuses on developing ideas, scripts, and selecting interviewees to elaborate on the complexity of this issue. The primary goal of the film is to inspire the audience to be more attentive to mental health in the workplace and encourage them to speak up vocally about this issue. The hope is that the film not only provides deep insights but also serves as a call to action, motivating viewers to actively advocate for positive changes in their work environments. In the pre-production stage, the director's main responsibilities include ideation, script formulation, and selecting interviewees. The director ensures that chosen interviewees can effectively summarize the complexity of mental health issues in the workplace. During production, the director actively participates in shooting arrangements and utilizes cinematic elements to create a powerful emotional impact. In post-production, the director provides detailed guidelines to the editor to ensure visual and narrative consistency.
