Abstract
Hypertension is one of the most common non-communicable diseases worldwide. This condition occurs when blood pressure reaches or exceeds ≥140/90 mmHg. The incidence rate of hypertension in DKI Jakarta is at a fairly high level, reaching 34,11%. Various factors can influence the occurrence of hypertension, including obesity status and salty food consumption. The research method used is quantitative where the analysis of Riskesdas 2018 data and has on observational analytic nature. The population in Riskesdas 2018 is all households in Indonesia, while the sample in the study is the adult group in DKI Jakarta. Based on the research that has been done, the results show that the age of the most respondents is 18-35 years old with the majority being female and having a low level of education and many respondents have jobs. Nutritional status is not obese and 75,3% of respondents often consume salty food and 65,6% of respondents who are not hypertension. The characteristic that has an association with hypertension in adults is age with a p-value of 0,000 (p < 0,05). Obesity status with the incidence of hypertension in adults has a significant relationship where the statistical test results p-value 0,000 (p < 0,05). Salty food consumption with the incidence of hypertension in adults does not have a significant relationship with a statistical test result p-value of 0,345 (p > 0,05).
