Abstract
The development of technology has influenced the field of education, particularly in pursuing careers abroad. PT Sepertiga Bahasa Internasional is a certified provider of foreign language education services, offering various foreign language learning programs. Tutors play a crucial role in delivering instruction, necessitating competent tutors that meet the company's needs. PT Sepertiga Bahasa Internasional employs 157 tutors across various languages, including 64 German language tutors. The number of applicants for German language tutor positions ranges from 50 to 100 per registration period. Due to the numerous stages in the recruitment process, the manual recording of data, and the large volume of applicants, a system is needed to assist the company in selecting tutors who meet the required qualifications. To address this issue, a Decision Support System using the Simple Additive Weighting method has been developed to help PT Sepertiga Bahasa Internasional recommend German language tutors. This system provides recommendations based on criteria such as curriculum vitae and supporting document completeness, experience, certifications, HR interviews and placement tests, and microteaching. Four candidates were selected, with the highest-ranking candidate, Alternative 7. Additionally, three candidates were not accepted as their final scores did not meet the minimum score.
