Abstract
Patients with breast cancer (Ca Mammae) often experience significant pain, particularly when the cancer cells have grown large. Although mastectomy is commonly used to address this pain, many cases are managed with less invasive procedures like lumpectomy or partial mastectomy, which only remove the tumor. However, these surgeries can lead to post-operative pain, disrupting comfort and daily activities due to tissue damage. To alleviate this pain, non-pharmacological therapies such as Finger Hold Therapy have been explored. This technique combines deep breathing relaxation with finger gripping for a short duration. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Finger Hold Therapy in reducing post-operative pain in Ca Mammae patients. Pain levels are measured using the Visual Analog Scale (VAS). Results indicate that Finger Hold Therapy, administered for 15 minutes after the patient reaches the recovery room, effectively reduces pain intensity compared to the control group. The study concludes that Finger Hold Therapy can significantly diminish pain in post-operative Ca Mammae patients, improving their overall comfort and recovery experience.
