Abstract
Halal tourism is very important because it is a way for a Muslim to travel with peace and still carry out religious orders, in 2022 there was an increase in tourist visits to Indonesia by 22.14%, while in the Special Region of Yogyakarta it decreased by -20.12% in 2022. With enormous tourism potential and with DIY's vision to become a leading tourist area in Southeast Asia, it is expected to strengthen the characteristics of DIY's specialty, but in fact the ranking of the best halal tourist destinations according to IMTI in 2023 DIY is still ranked seventh. The purpose of this study is to analyze several factors that influence the interest of the millennial generation to travel halal in the DIY. The method used in this research is quantitative with non-probability sampling technique that applies purposive sampling method. This study used 100 respondents who were classified as millennial generation in Jabodetabek. The data analysis technique used is Partial Least Square with descriptive statistical data analysis methods. The results of hypothesis testing state that the city branding variable has no effect on visiting interest, while the variables of Muslim-friendly facilities and accessibility have a positive and significant effect on visiting interest.
