Abstract
Background : Instability of blood glucose levels occurs due to insulin resistance that disrupts the metabolic process of energy in blood vessels characterized by an increase and decrease in blood glucose levels from the normal range. Instability of glucose levels is a symptom of type 2 diabetes mellitus. The importance of implementing diabetes mellitus management obediently and consistently accompanied by family support can affect the stability of blood glucose levels and reduce the risk of complications that can occur. Factors that affect the instability of blood sugar levels are unhealthy lifestyles, therefore it is important to conduct education related to adhering to a diabetes mellitus diet. Method : This case study implements nursing care in diabetes mellitus clients with dietary pattern non�adherence problems. Data collection is carried out by means of interviews, observations, physical examinations and documentation. Results : The nursing problems found in this case were instability of blood glucose levels, non-adherence and ineffective peripheral perfusion. The plan the author uses for the client is tailored to the nursing problem applied based on the outcome criteria, signs and symptoms, and the client's condition when nursing care is provided. Conclusion : It is expected that after being given nursing action to clients can be applied consistently by consuming low sugar intake
