Abstract
Academic procrastination is a tendency to delay completing a task or work related to a student's academic responsibilities. The academic demands and assignments of lectures often cause anxiety in students. Anxiety that arises in students generally takes the form of feeling uncomfortable about oneself. This research was conducted to determine the relationship between anxiety levels and academic procrastination in students of the Faculty of Medicine, National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta in 2024. The research sample used was students in the sixth semester of the Faculty of Medicine, National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta in 2024, namely 110 students aged 18 – 23 years old with a sampling technique in the form of purposive sampling. The instrument used to measure the anxiety level variable is the Taylor's Manifest Anxiety Scale (TMAS) while for the academic procrastination variable the academic procrastination questionnaire is used. The results of the analysis in this study using a bivariate analysis test with the bivariate method showed a p value of 0.00 (p<0.05). From these results it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the level of anxiety and academic procrastination in students at the Faculty of Medicine, National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta in 2024.
