Abstract
AQUA, as one of the largest bottled drinking water (AMDK) companies in Indonesia, has a significant impact on the environment, necessitating the implementation of CSR to maintain the company's sustainability and build public trust. AQUA's CSR initiative, known as AQUA Lestari, aims to raise awareness of social and environmental responsibility and is communicated through various media, including Instagram, where the @aqualestari account actively presents various discourses related to Danone-AQUA's CSR activities. This research aims to explore the discourse construction of CSR messages formed in the content of @aqualestari's Instagram, based on text, social cognition, and social context in discourse. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, while the data analysis technique employed is Van Dijk's discourse analysis, which encompasses three dimensions: text, social cognition, and social context. The study results indicate that the discourse construction in @aqualestari's Instagram content consistently demonstrates Danone-AQUA's positive contribution, role, and participation in CSR activities. Furthermore, the discourse helps shape a positive reputation for the company in the public eye and builds favorable perceptions among stakeholders regarding Danone-AQUA's commitment to fulfilling its social responsibilities. The discourse presented also shows a bias and tendency toward Danone-AQUA, related to the company's use of social media to disseminate information about their CSR initiatives.
