Abstract
Background : The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of nursing care for Mrs. S with the risk of violent behavior at Dr. Soeharto Heerdjan Mental Hospital. Research method : the design used in this study is a descriptive research design with a case study approach method. Results : the results obtained from the assessment are the discovery of predisposing factors, precipitation factors, signs and symptoms, sources of coping, and coping mechanisms. The predisposing factors found in Mrs. S were when she was 20 years old when she saw her parents during arguments in a high voice and the patient's mother was hit by her father and the precipitation factor was that Mrs. S went berserk because her neighbors always groomed her and wanted to rape Mrs. S. Two nursing diagnoses were successfully established, namely, the risk of violent behavior and chronic low self-esteem. Successful interventions were given based on priority nursing diagnoses, first performed for risk problems of violent behavior followed by chronic low self-esteem problems. Based on the results of the evaluation given to Mrs. S with a nursing diagnosis, the risk of violent behavior has provided an improvement in Mrs. S. The implementation of nursing carried out with violent behavior risk management interventions, as well as appropriate implementation strategies, is able to reduce the signs and symptoms of violent behavior risk.
