Abstract

Background : Fracture is a disruption of bone continuity due to trauma and is the most common cause. Fracture conditions can be overcome by managing fracture patients with conservative methods (casting and traction) or surgical methods (surgery). This research was conducted to analyze the implementation of nursing care, starting from assessment to nursing evaluation. The design used is descriptive qualitative using the case study method. The participants used were 1 adult client with a medical diagnosis of proximal tibial fracture. Results : The nursing problem that emerged in the case was acute pain related to physical digestive agents (trauma) and the patient said pain in the right leg, pain when moving. After carrying out 3x24 procedures with the main implementation of deep breathing relaxation techniques, doing distraction by talking with the patient, keeping the legs elevated, the evaluation results showed that the patient said the pain scale had reduced to 1, the patient said he could control the pain. The application of nursing care to clients with right tibia fractures achieves the expected results because of good cooperation between nurses, the client's family and other health teams. It is hoped that the patient can control pain with the relaxation and distraction techniques that have been taught.
