Abstract
Background : Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder characterized by high sugar levels associated with abnormal metabolism of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. Decreased insulin secretion or effective reduction in insulin sensitivity is also a cause of this condition. This scientific paper was carried out to analyze nursing care for families, which is used to prevent complications of diabetes mellitus. This research uses a descriptive case study approach and collects data on diabetes mellitus patients in the Rw.03 Limo Village area through interviews, observation, documentation and physical examination. Results : This scientific paper finds nursing problems that arise in cases, namely knowledge deficits related to the family's inability to recognize the health problem of diabetes mellitus, instability of blood glucose levels related to the family's inability to care for sick members, and ineffective health maintenance related to the family's inability to care for sick members. with diabetes mellitus problems. After carrying out nursing actions for 3x24 hours, the evaluation results all nursing problems can be resolved. Conclusion : It is hoped that further research can carry out nursing care for patients with diabetes mellitus properly and appropriately so that it is achieved in accordance with the nursing problems found in the patient.
