Abstract
Background: Breast milk that does not come out is caused by a lack of stimulation from the baby's sucking, which activates the action of the hormone oxytocin, resulting in no breast milk production or limited breast milk secretion. When a breastfeeding mother feels stressed or uncomfortable, the lactation reflex will be suppressed so that breast milk production is reduced. If the breast milk ejection reflex is disturbed, a thirsty baby will feel dissatisfied and cry while breastfeeding. Objective: To identify the success of implementing oxytocin massage in nursing care for patients with breastfeeding problems. Method: The research design in this scientific paper uses a descriptive case study design, with data collection through observation, documentation (taking notes), and interviews. Result: Mrs. S had difficulty sleeping, breast milk was not flowing smoothly, and she did not understand how to care for the baby, so the first diagnosis made was that breastfeeding was not effective with the main action chosen, namely oxytocin massage.
