Abstract
The postpartum period is the time between the birth of the baby and the return of the reproductive organs to their normal state before pregnancy. This period is often called the postpartum period (puerperium). Oxytocin massage is massage or stimulation of the back area to release the hormone oxytocin, causing the breasts to release breast milk. With oxytocin massage, the mother will feel calm, relaxed, reduce pain, and love her baby, so that with this the hormone oxytocin and breast milk will come out quickly. Oxytocin massage therapy is carried out once with a duration of 10-15 minutes for 3 days for spontaneous postpartum patients and 1 day for post sc patients. This writing aims to analyze the application of evidence-based practice oxytocin massage on breast milk production in spontaneous postpartum mothers and post-caesarean section mothers. Analysis of nursing care with oxytocin massage intervention showed significant results in increasing breast milk production. It is hoped that this case study can provide information for health services regarding providing oxytocin massage therapy interventions to increase breast milk production in breastfeeding mothers. Keywords: breastfeeding, postpartum, Caesarean section, oxytocin massage
